On
October 9, 2004, a Jubilee Celebration was held at
the Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center in
Jenkintown, PA on the occasion of the 75th
anniversary of ODWU.
The main speaker
was eng. Mykola Plaviuk, head OUN and PUN, head O.
Olzhych Foundation in Kyiv, last president of UNR
in exile, who spoke on the theme: ODWU and Ukraine
- past and present.
Historian and
former advisor to President Gerald Ford, Dr. Myron
Kuropas spoke about ODWU.
The artistic
program included: Lydia Bychkova - soprano, Kyiv
opera soloist; "Prometheus" Male Choir,
and the "Cheremosh" Dance Ensemble.
